Who Am I ?

I do not own this image
This image symbolizes my Igbo culture.
I am inspired by my culture and my up bringing overall. I have learned some valuable lessons in life, and I am beyond grateful to share this with you all who are reading this!

When thinking of this question, I redirect my focus to my surroundings. I am shaped by my Igbo culture and the obstacles that my family has conquered. I am a girl who is not afraid to pursue what she wants in life because the only obstacle in our way is us. Your fear of disappointing yourself and those who you look up to is what’s holding you back. It’s okay to fall! We all have failed one way or the other, but it is not okay to give up. I can testify to this. Whenever I try to go for something and it doesn’t work out as much as I thought, I start to rethink. Stop! Ask yourself, why did you start in the first place? Your purpose to begin is your motivator because that was what sparked your interest.

My ambition in life is to be a positive contribution to those I come in contact with. I think of every interaction with someone to have a purpose. The smile you flash to a stranger, your laughter to a joke they made, and the kindness you show to them are all meaningful in some way or the other. Never underestimate how meaningful those simple gestures could mean to someone. Millions of people around us bury their sorrows in cages where only the most lovable and non-judgmental hearts who are willing to listen not hear can find them. No one wants to be a broken piece that can never fully recover but become stable. Show kindness to the less deserving because your reward might not be money but everlasting peace within.

One of the biggest attributes that I appreciate and love about myself is my ability to reflect on my mistakes and not let pride overshadow my personal growth. Whenever a situation that leads to someone getting their feelings hurt occurs, I always ask myself these two questions. Was I at fault? If so, how could I have prevented this or rather expressed my point in a not so hurtful manner? I am neither perfect nor striving to be perfect. Perfection has no definition or characteristics. I have made mistakes in life, but I am still growing. We all have, but we shouldn’t let those mistakes determine the milestones and legacy we live in this world.

Thank you to whoever takes their time to read this! I hope that my message can make a difference.
